CodeTwo QR Code Desktop Reader 1.0.0

CodeTwo QR Code Desktop Reader is a simple tool which allows you to work with QR Codes on your PC.

QR Codes? They're the characteristic blocks of square dots which you'll often see on ads, websites, packaging and more. Mobile phones can interpret them with ease (once you've figured out the appropriate app to use, anyway), and QR Code Desktop Reader now brings the same ability to Windows.

The program makes it easy to grab a code from your screen, for instance. If you see one within your browser, say, switch to QR Code Desktop Reader, click "From screen", draw around the code, and the program will display whatever text it contains.

QR Code Desktop Reader can also open and read QR Codes stored in all the main graphics formats (BMP, GIF, PNG, JPG, TIFF).

And whatever text the code contains may then be copied to the clipboard, or saved to a file, with a click.

It's mildly annoying that such a very simple program (just a single executable, essentially) requires installation. Making it portable would have been more convenient.

We can't complain too much, though: QR Code Desktop Reader is free, easy to use, and a very handy addition to any desktop, and that's good enough for us.
