RBTray Portable 4.3

When you have temporarily finished with an app, you probably minimize it so that it is still accessible for when you need it again, but is not taking up space on your desktop. If you have a large number of program running, it is easy for your taskbar to fill up with countless buttons and this can make it difficult to identify individual items when you need to access them.

RBTray Portable is a free portable app that can be used to minimize programs you are not currently using so they appear in the system tray rather than the taskbar. This is a simple tool with no fancy option; it has one task to do and that is all it does.

There is no program interface to work with, and little or no indication that you have the application running. In order to minimize an app – or indeed an Explorer window – to the system tray, you simply need to right click on a window’s regaulr minimize button, that’s all there is to it.

RBTray Portable is not compatible with every single program you may be running, but in test we found that it was compatible with everything we threw at it. Accessing the programs you have minimize in this way takes nothing more than single clicking the system tray icon. A great tool to add to your USB drive.
