Google Search by Image for Chrome 1.4.3

Google is the go-to tool for most people looking for something online. Whether you’re looking for the latest news, weather forecast or information about your favorite band, Google can point you in the right direction. Finding images can be a little trickier, and this is why the Google Search page enables you to limit you searches to just images, and then narrow that search to images that match ever more limiting criteria.

As well as the main Google search page, you’ve probably noticed that no matter which web browser you are using you can highlight a word and right click it to select the option to search the web for it. This can help to save a good deal of time if you are searching for lengthy phrases and also helps to eliminate the risk of spelling mistakes slipping into your typing.

When you are searching for images, you have a number of options available to you. You can simply describe to Google what you would like to find pictures of – ‘red flowers’ for instances, or you could even opt to upload an image to Google to allow the search engine to track down similar pictures for you.

With Google Search by Image installed you have a new search option available to you. You can now right click on an image and tell Google to find similar images via the context menu. This is a great way to find alternative views of famous landmarks as well as enabling you to perform tasks such as identifying flowers and places. Simple but surprisingly effective.
