.NET Framework Setup Verification Utility

The .NET Framework Setup Verification Utility will scan installations of the .NET Framework to confirm that they're all working correctly.

Why bother? Microsoft's .NET Framework is the power behind many applications. Normally it all works just fine and you need never worry about the low-level details, but if an important file gets deleted, or a .NET Framework Registry key or two is removed, then some of your programs may start to misbehave. Using the .NET Framework Setup Verification Utility can then quickly tell you whether you've a .NET problem, and if you do, with which version, and a quick reinstall may get everything back to normal.

The program is straightforward to use. Just launch it, choose the version of .NET to check, and click Verify Now. The tool then scans key .NET files and Registry to confirm that all is well, usually delivering a verdict in a few seconds.

The .NET Framework Setup Verification Utility supports the following Framework versions:

  • .NET Framework 1.0
  • .NET Framework 1.1
