Facebook Pages Manager 1.0

If you are a company, group or other collective, you may well have set up a Facebook page to promote your business or cause. Facebook Pages Manager is a free iOS app that makes it easy to keep on top of your pages from your iPhone or iPad. It does not matter if you are the administrator of one page or several, the app can be used to manage them all from the same place – just log in with your regular Facebook credentials.

Once you are logged in, you can take control of your pages in a stripped down version of the Facebook web site. This means that while you do not have access to the full gamut of features and options, you can still perform quick actions such as posting new updates and uploading photographs without the need to switch on your computer – great for an admin on the move or for anytone who is frequently away from their desk.

The app has a very similar look and feel to the main Facebook app, so if you have strong opinions about that app, you will likely feel the same about this one. The similar look means that you will be able to get started with the app without having to worry about how it works; it’s all very intuitive. It now does not matter if you are in the office or out and about, you can still respond to comments and posts in and instant.

Notifications are available to keep your informed about all of the latest activity at your pages but it is a shame to see that there is no easy way to manage messages that have been sent to your via your page. The Insights section of the app gives a helpful overview of how your pages are being used and reached, making this a valuable tool for anyone using Facebook as more than just a means of keeping in touch with friends.
