Anvi Smart Defender is a compact tool for detecting and removing malware.
The program offers three on-demand scan types; Quick, Full and Custom. They're all fast, but unfortunately they're not too accurate, and there are no further configuration options.
The free edition of Smart Defender provides some real-time protection with six "guards": "File", "Registry", "Startup Item", "Web", "Privacy" and "Download".
Unsurprisingly, the commercial edition has many more: "Adware", "eShopping", "USB", "Behaviour", "Remote Access", "Remote Execute" and "Anti Exploit". All the guards can be enabled or disabled separately, but again there are no configuration options.
Anvi Smart Defender doesn't stop at detection, though. An Anti Hacker module scans your system, reports on vulnerabilities and poorly configured settings, and offers to fix them. It's mostly very basic (check the Windows Update is enabled, Autoplay is turned off), and there are a few options we didn't recognise ("Check if critical account is normal"), but it may help security beginners.
Anvi Smart Defender 2.3 changes:
1 Repairing and fixing bug in cloud scanning engine that might be stuck.
2 Optimizing and improving white list working mechanism which will not activate Registry Guard if items are already in white list.
3 When users tick "Always do this operation" in Registry Guard and allow the operation, the program will automatically add related items into white list.
