Pomodroido 1.2.2

There are various techniques that have been designed to help you to get things done, and one that has gained a large following recently is the Pomodoro Technique. In a nutshell, this involves setting a timer for 25 minutes and during this period you should concentrate on whatever task you need to be working on. When the timer is up, you take a five minute break before embarking on another flurry of activity.

After every fourth period of work you should take a slightly longer break and this enables you to stay focused on what you need to get done without the risk of getting tired or losing interest in the task at hand. Pomodroido is a free Android app that enables you to use your phone or tablet as a Pomodoro timer – which is ideal as it is something that you are likely to have with you at all times.

It may not sound like much, but once you try the technique you are likely to be surprised at just how effective it can be. Not many people have access to a timer that they can use on a regular basis, and even if they do, it can be a pain to have to keep configuring different times for work and break periods. Pomodroido takes care of all of this for you so you can concentrate on what you need to do.

If you like the way the free version of the app works, you may well be interested in the Pro version which includes a number of additional options. This in itself is a wonderful useful app which enables you to automatically run tasks and app, change OS settings and much more depending on various condition such as time, proximity to a particular location and many other criteria. Used in conjunction, Pomodoro Pro and Tasker are an indispensible productivity package.
