O&O SSD Migration Kit 7.1.36 (64-bit)

O&O SSD Migration Kit is a tool designed to help you migrate your system from a regular hard drive to a super-fast SSD.

Essentially this is a simple matter of copying the files from your system partition to an equivalent on the SSD. The program will also make sure your SSD partition is properly aligned, though (if it isn't then that can produce a real drag on performance). And if, as is likely, your system partition contains too much data to fit on the SSD, then you can choose to exclude particular files from the copy, and so free up valuable drive space.

This is reasonably straightforward in operation; the program acts something like a simple wizard, so you specify the source drive, the target, then define exactly what it is that you'd like the Migration Kit to, well, migrate.

However, this is probably just as well, as the program doesn't provide any significant local help, and a click on its Help icon opens a page at the O&O website which then warns you that "page not found". So to avoid any misunderstanding we'd recommend you treat the program with caution, and don't carry out any action with it which you can't reverse (for example, by backing up any data you're working with).

Note, SSD Migration Kit has migrated from freeware to trial software.
