While the price of printers continues to drop, the overall cost of ownership is something that many people simply to not think about. Ink cartridges are far from cheap, so anything that can be done to reduce the amount that is used is to be welcomed. When printing out documents, you always have the option of using draft mode, but CleverPrint 2013 includes even more options.
It is not just ink that is expensive, there is also paper to consider. The most obvious way to reduce these costs is to use less paper and ink. CleverPrint enables you to print multiple pages of a document on a single sheet of paper. This means that you not only use less paper, but printing documents at smaller sizes mans that less ink is used as well.
Obviously there is a limit to how much the size of a document can be reduced while remaining legible, but you may find that you can print anything from two to eight pages on a single sheet of paper. The program also includes the option of removing unwanted pages from your print out to reduce wastage as well as enabling you to remove graphics and other elements to reduce ink usage.
An even better way to reduce the cost of printing is to not bother printing at all. To this end, CleverPrint includes a PDF printer that can be used to convert any document into a PDF document. This is not really an alternative to printing, but it is a handy feature nonetheless, albeit in a program that is quite expensive for what it does.
