Orb Caster 3.11

The humble computer, be it a Mac or a PC, has transformed into a entertain medium in recent years. As well as being used for work and internet browsing, it is also used to house vast music collections, store endless video files and maintain gigantic photo libraries. No one likes to be tied down, but the traditional way of using a computer means that many people will only access their media on the machine it is stored on.

But by installing Orb Caster on your computer as well as OrbLive on your iOS or Android device, you can stream your media files not only around the home, but even around the world. The desktop software acts as a server as catalogues all of the media files you have on your hard drive. There are a number of standard locations that are included by default, but you can easily add your own folders if necessary.

The mobile app make it a breeze to browse through your media collection, access your photos, videos and music whenever your computer is switched on. Remote access can be achieved over a home network, or via the internet, so you can make use of the service when you are out and about.

If all of this is not enough, the Orb software can also be used to control your computer's TV car or web cam. This could be used in a number of ways. You may choose to use this option to access live TV on the move, or you could connect to your web cam when you are out and about to check that everything is OK at home. Forget syncing, just stream.
