Dr.Web LiveCD 6.0.0

There are all manner of things that can go wrong with your computer, and in many cases they can be easily fixed by adjusting a few settings here and there. However, in the case of more serious problems, such as a virus or malware infection, you may find that you are not even able to boot your computer making it all but impossible to set about fixing any problems you may be experiencing.

This is where Dr Web LiveCD can help. This is a bootable CD that can be used to start your computer in a special recovery mode that can be accessed no matter what the state of your usual operating system.

The software downloads as an ISO disc image that you will need to burn to a recordable CD using software such as Nero. You can then configure your BIOS so your computer boots from CD and start the machine with the newly created disc inserted. Once the software has loaded you will be presented with a Linux desktop that provides access to a range of useful tools and options.

Dr Web Live CD can be used to check your system’s memory for problems as well as checking for signs of malware infection, removing file when necessary. To help you to safeguard your valuable files, the software gives you the ability to copy important documents to removable media so that it can be used on another computer whilst the problems are fixed.
