AntiPopureb is a command line tool which can quickly scan your PC for the Popureb.E trojan, removing any infection it finds.
Won't your current antivirus tool handle this? Maybe not. As Microsoft recently explained, Popureb.E does an unusually good job of hiding itself from security tools. Amongst other tricks, it hooks into a low-level hard disk driver, and looks out for attempts to overwrite its own code. If Popureb.E spots a threatening disk write, it simply changes it to a read, instead: the operation will go ahead, and so the security tool may think it's been successful, but in reality the infection is still there.
Even if your existing antivirus package detects Popureb.E, then, it's possible that it may fail to remove the threat, in which case AntiPopureb will be very welcome. It's extremely easy to use: just double-click the download file, press Y to confirm that you'd like to perform a system scan, and the program will quickly check your system for any signs of Popureb.E-related trouble.
Alternatively, if you prefer a more hands-on approach, you can also remove this trojan using the Windows BootRec.exe tool. Again, Microsoft has the details.
