aTube Catcher 2.3.570

If you’re wondering how to get offline access to a video that’s hosted online, the solution lies in a video-downloading tool like aTube Catcher. It works with most known websites and protocols – just copy and paste the URL of the video into the box, choose whether or not to convert the downloaded file into a different format for playing on another device (such as your mobile phone or TV) and click Download.

aTube Catcher also has a YouTube Monitor tool, which can automatically detect, download and – if selected – convert video from YouTube as you access it in Internet Explorer or Firefox. And if your chosen site isn’t supported, or you can’t access the video you need, use Stream Catcher to allow you to grab the video from any website in real-time in conjunction with WinpCap (you’ll need to install this separately). It’s not as elegant as the main downloading tool, but it does mean you can get video from pretty much anywhere.

The program also has an offline video conversion tool, screen recorder for capturing video from your display, including various online video chats, plus a MP3 downloader for searching for and downloading audio in MP3 format. There’s even a tool for downloading multiple videos and joining them together – perfect for those YouTube videos split into 10-minute segments.
