If you've ever wondered where all of your system resources have disappeared to, System Explorer can reveal all. Working like a more advanced version of Windows' built in Task Manager, the program can reveal a tremendous amount of information about the programs and processes that are running on your computer at any given time. In addition to this you can keep an eye on the programs which are configured to start automatically with Windows, view a list of browser add-ons, and monitor drivers and services.
Suspicious looking services and processes can be checked in a matter of a few mouse clicks and online services can be used to reveal even more details about particular files. A system snapshot facility makes it possible to monitor system changes - such as before and after the installation of a program - and performance graphs provide at a glance information.
The System Report option can be used to create a handy document containing a wealth of information about your computer and System Explorer can be extended through the use of plugins. The details available in the program is staggering, so if there's anything you want to know about your computer, System Explorer should be able to help.
Note that this is the Portable edition.
