KooLoader 3.6

KooLoader is a simple download manager that makes it quick and easy to download files online.

The program monitors your clipboard for download links. If you'd like to grab a file, simply paste its URL there (both HTTP and FTP are supported), click Yes on the alert window that will be displayed, and the download will begin.

KooLoader will by default break your file into four segments, then download each of these in parallel to improve performance. This worked well for us, although you can increase this to 8 segments if you prefer for perhaps even more speed.

The program also supports scheduling, where you can tell KooLoader not to download particular files until a specified time. Which could be very convenient if it's an extremely large file, say - you could have it downloaded overnight, so it doesn't interfere with your other online activities.

And if you lose your internet connection part way through the download, or maybe your PC crashes, then don't worry, you won't have to start again. When you relaunch KooLoader it'll carry on where it left off, and quickly download any remaining chunks of your file.

If you need more downloading power, the authors also produce a KooLoader Plus version, with extra features. This adds direct support for downloading from sites like YouTube and RapidShare, for instance; it allows you to store logins for different sites; you're able to prioritise one download above another to improve its download speed; and there are more ways to configure and tweak how the program works. This can all be yours for $14.95, and you can read more at the author's site.
