360 Amigo System Speedup is a free suite of PC cleanup and optimisation tools.
The feature set looks like many similar packages. So for instance there are tools to clean your Registry, find and delete junk files, defragment your hard drive, view your Windows Startup files, monitor which programs have open internet connections, and more, all presented in an attractive, clear and straightforward interface.
In amongst these are useful options we don't see so often. And so there's a viewer for your System Restore points, for instance, allowing you to delete any that you can do without. The Process Manager makes it easy to search Google for the name of a particular running process, and the Drivers section lists all your installed drivers in their load order, useful for security reasons and simply checking to see that you're not running some drivers unnecessarily.
Most 360Amigo System Speedup tools are less interesting, though. The Uninstaller, Service Manager and System Information modules are less powerful than the standard Windows versions. Other modules didn't always work as we expected: for some reason the program classifies your Windows Recent Documents shortcuts as "junk files", marking them for deletion. And there's minimal support for cleaning up any browser other than IE.
Upgrading to a Pro edition of the program gets you more features, including a system scan scheduler, the ability to check your drives at startup, remove unwanted startup programs and more. It's relatively expensive at $24.95, but you can find out more on the author's site.
