Desktop Connect for iPad 2.0.2

The iPad is a wonderfully practical and useful device, but it cannot act as a complete replacement for your desktop computer. As such, there are likely to be times when you are working on your iPad but need to be able to access your computer. Using Desktop Connect, this is not only made possible, but also incredibly simple.

The app enables you to establish a remote connection to your computer, be it a Mac or a Windows or Linux based machine, and control it as if you were sat in front of it. Desktop Connect support both the VNC and Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocols and will automatically detect all of the available computers on your network.

Desktop Connect benefits from its ease of setup. Unlike other remote access tools there is no complex configuration required. Interaction with your remote computer is easy thanks to the iPad touchscreen which can be used as a track pad or as a touchscreen device. There is also a large on-screen keyboard available for text entry.

Desktop Connect has countless uses. The ability to play music on your computer and play it back through your iPad's speakers is available, and a shared clipboard makes it easy to copy and paste data between the two platforms. There are cheaper remote access tools available, but this is the most comprehensive.
