QuickNote is something of a hybrid tool which could be viewed as both a note taking application and an extension to the clipboard. Used as a note taker, the program can be used to quickly jot down ideas, take messages or write lists.
Notes can be created via the menu bar or using a keyboard shortcut and QuickNotes appeal is extended through its ability to be used as an extension to the clipboard. As well as being used to write once off notes, the program can also be used as a store for information copied from web sites, sites coding or other programs.
The contents of the clipboard can be edited, and the edits you make can be saved. The ability to save both individual notes as well as the contents of the clipboard means that it is easy to paste multiple sections of text into a document.
Notes that have been saved can be easily access through the menu bar so they are never more than a few clicks away. QuickNote is simple yet versatile, and well worth installing.
There is also a Pro version of QuickNote available which you will find useful if you have a large number of notes to manage. A new search bar makes it possible to track down specific notes and a single-click delete option makes it easier to get rid of any notes you no longer need.
