CyberLink PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II is a one-stop package that can handle all your movie-playing needs.
You want to watch a favourite DVD? Quality upscaling features will deliver excellent image quality on your HDTV. Other TrueTheater technologies optimise brightness, colour and sharpness, and you can now even convert 2D DVDs into 3D movies if you've a compatible 3D display (NVIDIA 3D Vision, row-interleaved and 3D Ready HDTV are supported).
Maybe you've moved on to Blu-ray? PowerDVD 10 Ultra delivers great picture quality, supports BD-Live, HDMI Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio and more for an all-round cinema quality experience.
And, new in this Mark II edition is support for playing Blu-ray 3D movies. CyberLink were the first company to receive Blu-ray 3D certification from the Blu-ray Disc Association, and the player can deliver two 1080p frames to deliver the 3D effect. Again, you'll need compatible hardware: that's a 3D display and 3D glasses (NVIDIA 3D Vision, 3D Ready HDTV, Micro-polarizer LCD, or anaglyph red/cyan glasses). NVIDIA 3D Vision isn't supported under Windows XP or Vista.
You're browsing video files? PowerDVD 10 Ultra can now play all the formats that matter: AVI, WMV, MPEG 1, 2 and 4, MKV (H.264), FLV (H.264), 3GP, 3G2, even RM and RMVB if RealPlayer is installed. With support for playing all the main audio file types, too, the program now doubles as a very capable media player.
Other new features include the ability to directly upload new videos to YouTube. A Bookmarking system allows you to tag a particular place in a movie, making it easy to relocate later. And a whole new social networking side to the program sees you able to make comments on a DVD, then share them immediately on Facebook, Twitter and MoovieLive.
This is the Ultra Edition. View the Comparison Chart for differences between PowerDVD Ultra, Deluxe and Standard. The primary reasons for purchasing Ultra are Dolby True HD support and the ability to play Blu-ray discs.
