There are a variety of ways in which you can take notes on your iPhone, but Simplenote is a little different in that it enable you to access the notes you take both on your phone and online. Syncing with your free online account means that notes can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection, and notes can be created on a desktop computer on those occasions when your iPhone is not available.
The process of creating notes could hardly be simpler, and the app can be used in both portrait and landscape modes. Notes created in the app can also be synchronised with a number of other desktop programs including Notational Velocity, Nottingham, DashNote and JustNotes as well as online services such as Simple Backup.
It is free to create a basic Simplenotes account, but by opting to pay for a Premium account, a number of additional options are available. Advertisements within the program are disabled and synchronisation can be performed on an automatic basis. There is also the option to create note via email, and the notes you create can be automatically converted into an RSS feed. An account upgrade option is available within the program, but for many people the free service will suffice.
