Xtorrent 2.0.133

Reliable torrent clients for OS X are few and far between, but Xtorrent is a solid performer that makes it easy to download files using the BitTorrent protocol. There is no need to rely on visits to torrent sites to track down files as a search facility is built into Xtorrent. By default this will search a limited number of sites, but you can easily add others.

Working with multiple simultaneous download is make simple with a neatly implemented download queue. This makes it easy to pause and prioritise downloads, control the number of downloads that can run at any given time and override the rules you have put in place when the need arises.

A native 64-bit program, Xtorrent takes full advantage of Snow Leopard and operates quickly without being a drain on system resources. There is also iTunes integration so the files you download can be automatically exported ready for syncing with your portable device.

Built in support for RSS feeds means that it is possible to keep up to date with the latest content from your favourite sites and you can share links via Twitter in a couple of clicks. Features such as bandwidth scheduling, search suggestions and automatic port configuration make Xtorrent a joy to use.
