If you need help organising your schedule then you could buy some expensive productivity tool, then spend forever trying to learn a complicated new address book, contact manager, calendar and more.
Or, alternatively, you could take the easier way out and install a copy of WinAlarm. This has no fancy calendar displays, no contact database, and it can't sync with your iPhone, but on the other hand it is a very easy way to create reminder alarms for yourself. Just choose the date and time of some upcoming event, enter a message, and at the appropriate moment a window will pop up to remind you that there's something important you really should be doing.
There are several ways to schedule your alarms: you're able to decide their frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), or which days they'll repeat (just Monday to Friday for work events, say), as well as setting a reminder to pop up a few minutes before the event, if you like.
And WinAlarm is very customisable, too. If you don't like the default alarm sounds, for instance, then it's easy to replace them with your own - MID, MP3 and WAV files are supported.
