Backing up data is a necessary evil as a computer owner, and anything that makes the process a little easier is to be welcomed. The free version of Fab's AutoBackup has been designed with precisely this aim in mind, making as easy as possible to backup files and settings and providing the option to restore them either from within Windows or using a bootable disc.
The program can backup the contents of the My Documents folder as well shared documents, and will also backup key program and system settings. As well a desktop settings, Internet Explorer bookmarks, Outlook emails, desktop wallpaper, and Office activation files can also be backed up. In addition to this Fab's AutoBackup can also be used to safeguard the settings of a number of web browsers including Opera and Firefox.
The options available are a little limited but considering this is a free program, ease of use is imnpressive and the feature set is sufficient for basic backup requirements.
