KompoZer is an easy-to-use WYSIWYG web authoring tool. So compact and lightweight it doesn't even require installation (just unzip the installation file and go), the program still somehow manages to squeeze in plenty of features.

Your project might begin by opening a local HTML file, a remote web site, or just with a blank page. And then you can go to work, adding images, tables and text, form data, links and more.

For the most part there's no real need for HTML knowledge, or web development experience: pointing, clicking and navigating around the various KompoZer dialog boxes is enough to build a quality site. But if you know what you're doing then you can also insert custom HTML or PHP code, or simply click the HTML tab and edit your page source code directly.

The program provides plenty of additional tools to help you build your site: a colour picker, CSS editor, spellchecker and more.

And a complete FTP site manager makes it easy to upload everything when you're done, and keep the site in order afterwards. Just fire up KompoZer, log on to your FTP server, and you can browse and edit pages on the fly, without having to manually download them first.
