When travelling, it is often the case that you will suddenly think of something that needs to be added to or changed in a document you have created. Having to fire up your laptop can be annoying and is not always possible, but if you were able to make the necessary changes on your iPhone or iPod, life would be a great deal easier. This is precisely what Office¬¬¬¬2 makes possible.
The app can be used to create and edit Microsoft Word 97-2003 and Excel 97-2003 compatible documents. When it comes to working with Word documents, all of the basic formatting options you would expect can be found in the app - bold, italics and underlining, justification and bullets and numbering.
Office² spreadsheets can contain multiple workbooks and an unlimited number of rows and columns. Despite being a mobile app, working with spreadsheets in Office² is comparable to working on a Mac or PC and there are few compromises that have to be made - in fact you have access dto over 140 functions.
Files can be stored locally- they can be transferred via USB using iTunes - but Office² also includes support for Google Docs and MobileMe. This means that documents can be stored and edited online and accessed from a number of other computers. Office² can also be used to open email attachments.
There are office suites for iOS that include support for more programs, but Office² focuses on word processing and spreadsheets, excelling at both.
