Google Reader is a great tool for managing all of your RSS feeds from a single location and there is a mobile version of the web site available for use on portable devices such as the iPhone and iPad. Reeder, however, is an app specifically designed for the iPad which makes far better use of the available screen space and provides a number of handy options for interacting with your news feeds.
The app synchronises with your Google Reader account so you can read your feeds on other devices and ensure that all of your read and unread articles are updates across machines. Simple finger gestures such as swiping to mark items as read or starring for later reading making the app a joy to use.
Reeder can be used to share interesting news article via Twitter, and they can also be posted to Delicious and Pinboard. Support for Instapaper and ReadItLater means that it is possible to save article you would like to read at a later date so they can be accessed on another device.
While there are many RSS readers available for the iPad, Reeder is by far the most accomplished. The interface is polished and smooth, and everything works precisely as you would expect it to. There's nothing more you could ask of an app.
Reeder is now free.
A convenient, flawless way of accessing your Google Reader account from your iPad without the need to use the Google web site.
