CyberLink's Video and Photo Creative Collection is a powerful bundle of the company's two most powerful video and photo editing tools.
The suite includes PowerDirector 10 Ultra, CyberLink's most powerful video editor. So not only can this import a lengthy list of video formats, apply a host of special effects (including many 1-click options) and export to DVD, Blu-ray and AVCHD discs, but you also get all the high-end options: native 64-bit OS support; direct AVCHD camcorder import; full HD preview; complete end-to-end 3D video processing (import 3D videos, convert 2D content to 3D, apply 3D effects, author 3D discs); and more.
And PhotoDirector 2011 goes beyond simple editing to provide a complete package covering every aspect of your photo management needs. The program can import just about everything, including an extensive list of RAW file formats. You can then explore these in PhotoDirector's library, tagging, flagging, sorting and searching to easily find whatever images you need. Powerful adjustment tools allow you to tweak levels, tone, colours, brightness, contrast and more, to entire images or just selected areas. Some great special effects help bring even the most ordinary images to life, and once you've finished your work can be uploaded directly to Facebook, Flickr, or (as a video slideshow) to YouTube.
The trial has some limitations. PowerDirector Ultra adds a watermark to the beginning of its videos; has an encoding limit of 50 iPod/PSP files; doesn't include the PhotoNow! or WaveEditor programs; and only supports H.264 encoding on Windows 7. PhotoDirector is less restricted by comparison, the main issue being that the trial doesn't support H.264 AVC or MPEG-4 slideshow video productions.
PowerDirector and PhotoDirector are a couple of exceptionally powerful editors, and this new bundle makes them available at an even lower price. If you were thinking of buying PowerDirector anyway then this is well worth a closer look.
