Missing or damaged disc?

If your disc is missing or damaged, go to http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/cd/replacement to request a replacement disc. Be sure to include details of the issue number and specify whether this is a CD or DVD edition.

Loading up the cover disc Interface?

To access the content on the disc, insert your disc and load the file called "Click here to begin.PDF".

The latest version of Adobe Reader can be found in the ‘Essentials’ folder on the disc.

Installation/registration questions?

Scroll through the PDF document to find detailed information about each application on the disc. There are links to websites for each of the programs and system requirements for the main programs on the disc. If the software on the disc requires a serial number or registration code, there will be a link on the appropriate page. Click the links to register, making sure that you provide a valid email address.

To receive software serial codes from the PC Advisor website, you first need to be a registered user of our site. When you initially register, you will be sent an email containing a confirmation code for your PCAdvisor.co.uk membership. You need to confirm your membership (by clicking the link in the email you receive) and then return to the appropriate product registration page and follow the instructions to get the software code. If you are already a registered user, simply log in and then follow the instructions to obtain the code.

1. Install ImageIron and request a 30-day licence
2. Run the program and input the license key you received by email when prompted
3. Print the calibration-map which comes with the installation in DIN-A4 (or better: DIN-A3)
4. Create a complete set of calibration-pictures of this map with your camera, according to the instructions at http://www.naturalgrafix.com/en/imageiron/manual_mapimages.shtml
5. Feed ImageIron with the calibration-pictures and let it calculate the calibration data.
6. Click 'Upload' to access the new calibration-set, enter your email-address and the code: C34092aF
7. You will then receive a coupon for your free full license.

A-Squared Anti-Malware 3.0

After installation, register on the software developer's website and select "convert coupon code". You then need to enter the coupon code included on the cover disc interface - nanova5736 - this will provide the full one-year licence.

Quark 5.0

To get up and running with your full free copy of QuarkXPress 5.0 for Windows, you will first need to get a unique serial number from the PC Advisor website and then register your licence with Quark to receive a validation code. This validation code will be required as part of the installation process.

1. Go to http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/cd/quark5 to request your unique QuarkXPress 5.0 serial number (this will require you to be registered on the PC Advisor website, which is free of charge).
2. Go to http://euro.quark.com/pcadvisor.
3. Set up an eStore account.
4. Select to register your product using the serial number provided http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/cd/quark5.
5. Once you’ve submitted your registration details you’ll automatically receive an email from Quark containing your personal validation code. It’s possible that some spam filters may block the email containing your validation code. Should this happen you should contact Quark directly.
6. Now run the QuarkXPress 5.0 Windows installation from the cover disc.
7. Follow the onscreen installation instructions, including entering the validation number supplied by email.
8. Also included on the cover disc is a 5.01 updater that includes fixes and enhancements to the original 5.0 application. It is recommended that after installing QuarkXPress 5.0 you then run the QuarkXPress 5.01 updater to update your copy of QuarkXPress 5.0.

ShopFactory 6.0

The version on the cover disc installs a trial of ShopFactory 7.0. This then reverts to a fully working version of ShopFactory 6.0 when you register on the ShopFactory website. Load up the cover disc interface, and navigate to the ShopFactory page where there is a link which will take you online to the relevant page on the website. You should then complete the form and receive the code from the software developers.

Vision Backup Home Edition

Follow the link from the cover disc interface. You need to register at http://www.vwsolutions.com/purchase/VisionBackupSignup.aspx to get the code.

Microsoft Office Professional 2007 60-day trial

You need to register and activate with Microsoft in order to use the software. To do this, follow the links in the CD interface, which will take you online to the Microsoft website for registration.

Either register during the installation process or, to start the online registration procedure after installing the software, just select 'Get Free Full Version Key' in the 'Internet' menu. If you are not already online the program will prompt you to establish a connection to the internet. Your free full version key code will then be sent to you at the email address you provide. Select 'Enter Reg/Trial Key' in the 'Internet' menu and enter the key code in the input field displayed. (Use copy-and-paste to make sure the code is entered correctly.)
