Get the best deal on Google's Nexus 10 tablet
The Nexus 10 is a competitively priced Android tablet. If you're in the market for a 10in tablet for web browsing, watching films and various other tasks you could easily do worse. You could certainly spend a lot more on a tablet that isn't as good. But where is the best place to buy a Nexus 10? We take a look at your options.
Best place to buy Nexus 10: Google Play
Google's Nexus 10 is built by Samsung and available through the Google Play Store. Unlike the Nexus 7 which is available from a number of retailers, the Nexus 10, as it stands, is only on sale on the Play Store. At least things are nice and straight forward.
Group test: what's the best tablet PC?
Google will directly sell you a 16GB Wi-Fi only Nexus 10 for £319, a fair amount cheaper than the equivalent Apple iPad with Retina display, or the iPad 4. If you want some more storage, the 32GB Wi-Fi only Nexus 10 will set you back £389. There's no Wi-Fi and 3G model.
At the time of writing both models are 'shipping soon'. Delivery is estimated at 2-3 weeks. On top of the price of the tablet, Google charges £9.99 for postage. Once it ships it will take an estimated two days to arrive. See also: Google Nexus 10 price in UK and specs.
Google provides after sales support for returns and general technical advice, and says it will accept returns for up to 15 days. This is actually less than the statutory distance selling regulations. You get the standard Samsung manufacturer's warranty of 12 months, and will probably be better off going to the manufacturer for technical support.
• Pros: It's your only option to get the Nexus 10. Buying though the Google Play Store is simple.
• Cons: You'll have to wait a few weeks to get your Nexus 10, and we're not that impressed by the support options.

Anon said: I doubt its that it wouldnt work well because not everyone will dedicate themselves to buying it and will buy an alternative tablet instead if it isnt available
michael c said: Agreed Very strange business policy unless Googles intention is to stir up demand by making the product relatively difficult to obtain

Mike C said: Does anyone know who will be supplying official not cheap after-market accessories for the Samsung Google Nexus 10 Will it be Samsung or Google Currently there are NO official accessoriesavailable Ive emailed Samsung in both the UK and US and they know nothing about the Nexus 10 or any accessories for it I was advised to look at the accessories for the Samsung Galaxy - am I surprised Lets face it a simple case is a basic requirement for any 10 tablet and should really have been supplied with the device or at the very least made available at the same time Personally for example I would also like a case with a built-in micro keyboard and a separate mouse and a Pogo charging adapter there is a connection on the tablet for theadapter The initialadvertisements for theNexus10showed a sleep cover but even this was not supplied with the tableCome on Samsung or Google get your act together and lets have a decent range of quality accessories without further delay Either do it yourselves or license a range of quality accessories with Samsung or Google branding Dare I say that Apple have a good range of OEM branded accessories for their iPad - though in my opinion the Nexus 10 is a much superior device

Jonathan Chartier said: I have found it infuriating Google have made a MASSIVE mistake only selling the Nexus 10 on the Play web shop Out of stock since it went on sale long waits and no payment options aside from paying up what they want upfront All I want to do is go to Currys and buy the darn thing I keep on pestering my local Currys super store and all they do is lookembarrassed and suggest I buy an iPad grrrr Not all of us are iSheep I use an Android phone and would like to stay in that ecosystem Clearly plenty of people have arrived in store asking for the Nexus 10 Google release an actual ipad killer with better specifications in all areas then utterly mess up the purchase experience It is almost like they dont want to compete in the tablet market
