Buying Advice: ASUS MX279 review: 27-inch design monitor
ASUS announced its new 'Designo' monitors several months back, and we recently managed to get our hands on one of them. We tested the 27-inch MX279H, a monitor with a striking design. It has an elegant base and aluminium frame, and has several similarities with the recently tested and excellent LG IPS277L. It will be interesting to find out how the two compare.

Buying Advice: Iiyama ProLite XB2485WSU vs XB2380HS review: 1920x1200 vs 1920x1080
There are those that swear by monitors with a resolution of 1900x1200 pixels, and feel that an extra 129,600 pixels make all the difference. Of course there's something to be said for a little additional vertical space. We were therefore excited to hear that Iiyama has not abandoned this segment yet, when it announced the ProLite XB2485WSU. Hardware.Info tested it to find whether the Dell U2412M has a new competitor.

Buying Advice: HP 3005PR USB 3.0 Port Replicator review
The HP 3005PR is a smart and practical dock, built around the DisplayLink DL3900 chip. It adds quite a few connectors to your computer, with a total of six USB ports (two USB 3.0), audio, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and DisplayPort. The latter two can even be used at the same time.

Buying Advice: Celluon Magic Cube review: laser keyboard
It still looks and feels like science fiction, but this actually works. With the Magic Cube from Celluon you can create a fully functional keyboard on any surface, that types much better than the mini-keyboards on your average smartphone. The added value for tablets is more limited, because for those there are many more alternatives in terms of external keyboards.

Buying Advice: ASUS PB278Q review: ASUS goes WQHD
The ASUS PB278Q is a very stylish WQHD monitor. The colour fidelity is great even with factory settings, and the monitor has a very high contrast and brightness. When you enable overdrive, the response times are good enough for gaming. The energy consumption is low and the features are fairly complete, even if we would have liked to have a USB 3.0 hub. The features that ASUS did add are useful particularly for graphic designers.

Buying Advice: Logitech t620 Touch Mouse & t400 Zone Touch Mouse review: made for Windows 8
Logitech has done a fine job bringing mice to the market that at least partially compensate for the lack of a touch screen on a Windows 8 system. Unless you have just purchased a brand new all-in-one system or notebook with built-in touchscreen, chances are slim to none that you own a touchscreen display that adheres to Microsoft’s requirements. With the t620, Logitech succeeded best in our opinion: this mouse offers serious added functionality for Windows 8, that in our experience you will actually use and enjoy. The t400's extra functions are far more limited, too limited to really consider this a true Windows 8 mouse.

Buying Advice: Roccat Alumic mousepad review: mouse on metal
The lift-off distance of the Roccat Alumic is outstanding. It is rare that we measure less than the 0.85 mm we achieved on this mousepad combined with our Zowie AM-GS mouse. Most mousepads have a lift-off distance of around 1.5 mm. The smoothness and size of the Alumic make it perfect for swiping movements and frequently lifting the mouse. That means it is highly suitable for every type of gamer, from low-sense to high-sense.

Buying Advice: Thecus N5550 review: fast NAS with HDMI and USB 3.0
Calling the Thecus N5550 a NAS is almost selling it short, because it's much more than that. It's a network server for at home or in the office, and you can use it to download files, as a digital photo album, and for connecting IP cameras. You can connect it to a computer obviously, but also tablets and smartphones let you access it via apps.

Buying Advice: Tested: Netgear R6300 802.11ac router
The Netgear R6300 is the first 802.11ac router we have tested. As the first router of a new generation, the Netgear R6300 can definitely be called a success. Granted, 1.3 Gbps is still quite a way away, but there are clear performance gains compared to 802.11n. Speeds of up to 500 Mbps are possible with this router, and also at longer distances the 802.11ac outperforms 802.11n comfortably.
