So Google has suddenly launched the Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 KitKat and you want to get your hands on one. Well here are your options for where to but the Nexus 5 and get the best deal. Read our full Nexus 5 review.

At long last the Nexus 5 has arrived; with no song or dance from Google but the flagship reference Android smartphone is on sale and here is where you can get it. See also: Google Nexus 10 2 (2013) release date, price and spec rumours.

Google Play Store

You can, of course, go straight to Google to buy the Nexus 5. It's available SIM-free on the Play Store for £299. That price will bag you the 16 GB model but we think it's worth paying the £40 extra to double it to 32 GB as there's no microSD card slot.

The Nexus 5 is available in black and white and the former is already extremely popular on the Play Store – it's shipping on 8 November and the time of writing.

Carphone Warehouse

The Carphone Warehouse is selling the Nexus 5 slightly cheaper than Google, at £299. The first 1,000 customers to order it on a 4G contract will get a free Nexus 7 worth £139 meaning it's the original model rather than the 2013 edition. Nevertheless, it's a free tablet.

You can get the Nexus 5 for free on a pay month contract starting at £32 per month. Those upgrading can get it for £29 per month.
