Price is one thing which hasn't been revealed ahead of the M8's launch so we're speculating here and feel free to make your predictions in the comments section below.

The successor to the HTC One will be a premium high-end device, so we expect it will gain an appropriately matched price tag. The handset will be available from EE in Gunmetal Gray and Glacial Silver across a wide range of superfast 4G plans, via the EE online shop and EE telesales on the 26th March, and through EE stores on the 27th March. Customers who buy the HTC One (M8) on a £37.99/pm EE Extra plan (£29.99 up front cost) before 10th April will receive a special launch offer giving them twice the amount of data of EE’s standard 4G plans - taking their monthly limit up to 4GB - for the duration of their contract. Carphone Warehouse has sent out a press release confirming that the HTC One M8, as it calls it, will be very specifically available at 'around' 4pm on 25 March, just minutes after being announced by HTC. Read: LG G3 release date, price, specs and new features.

"The HTC One is an award winning handset that set the bar for design during 2013 and made many sit up and take notice – the new HTC One M8 is likely to continue that trend and will cement HTC’s future as a heavy-hitting smartphone manufacturer. We know how keen customers are to get hold of the latest tech as soon as possible and that is why we are so excited to be able to offer the new HTC One so quickly after it is unveiled." said a Carphone Warehouse spokesperson.

The retailer said that handsets will be transported directly from the venue of the launch announcement to six Carphone Warehouse stores in London: Westfield Stratford, Westfield White City, Oxford Circus, Centrepoint and Tottenham Court Road and Selfridges. Stores will be hosting special events celebrating the launch with 'entertainment and giveaways'.

The HTC One (M8) will be available for an upfront cost of £49 and a choice of four different 24 month price plans. These start at £38 a month for 600 minutes and 2GB of data, up to £44 a month for all-you-can-eat data and all-you-can-eat minutes.
