He's whizzed around on a Segway scooter and jigged to the sound of his iPod. Now George W Bush has revealed a keenness for Google Earth. MSNBS reporter Maria Bartiromo asked the US president whether he'd used Google, and he admitted his fondness for the company's popular mapping tool.
Rather than using the tool to search for nuclear weapons in North Korea, the first place Bush centres on after he's fires up Google Earth is his home, revealing that a quick snapshot of his Texas ranch from the sky "reminds me of where I want to be sometimes".
Although triggering sniggers from the blogosphere by referring to the e-commerce giant as "the Google", Bush's techie talents, albeit on a relatively small scale, appear to be superior to those of other world leaders. Tony Blair, for example, admitted to being a technophobe when questioned by a parliamentary committee.
But don't send Bush any emails – the president said he avoids communicating online through fear of media organisations getting hold of his messages. "I don't want you reading my personal stuff," he said.
