Olympus is to offer a second MicroFourThirds camera in its retro-style PEN line of digital cameras. The Olympus PEN EP-2 will go onsale in the UK in January at a cost of £850.
Its key distinguishing feature will be the inclusion of a electronic viewfinder (EVF) that sits atop the main camera body. In June, Olympus unveiled the PEN EP-1, a compact digital SLR camera with a smaller lens than standard FourThirds models. It was criticised for having neither EVF nor a flash.

Epson has announced that the EH-DM3 home cinema projector it unveiled at IFA in September is now onsale in the UK. Epson is pitching the EH-DM3 as a three-in-one device offering projector, DVD player and audio playback.
The EH-DM3's built-in DVD player is able to accept DivX video as well as shop-bought DVDs. The device has an HDMI port so it can be connected to a high-definition video source such as a Blu-ray player. It can also be used with laptops and PCs, games consoles and set-top boxes. A USB port allows photos and video to played direct from flash memory.

gear4's latest iPod dock has a new spin - it revolves. The £59 speaker dock works with the Apple iPod and iPhone.
The gear4 StreetParty Revolve has a rotating dock can be used with the iPod or iPhone in portrait mode or swivel round so the screen is horizontal. This makes for a better viewing experience when watching video stored on or streamed to the device. A speaker surrounding the docking bay for the Apple gadget expands or contracts to fit snugly around the device, ensuring it remains secure.

Packard Bell is to release a range of laptops and netbooks signed by nine-times MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi.
Packard Bell says the products will be "targeted to those users seeking style, design, and elegance combined with a reliable and prestigious brand name".

Asus has started selling its AiGuru SV1T touch-enabled videophone in the UK. Described by its maker as a "next-generation videophone", it allows users to make free or low-cost telephone calls using Skype.
The Wi-Fi-enabled handset sports a 7in touchscreen display and combines the functions of a webcam with a phone. The videophone is icon-heavy and is designed to be easy to use even for consumers who have never used a webcam or a computer before.

Philips has launched an 8in digital photo frame that offers Bluetooth connectivity and accepts almost any type of memory card. The Philips SPF7008 can receive photos sent wirelessly from a mobile phone.
The 8in screen has a standard 4:3 aspect ratio and a resolution of 800x600 pixels. It has discreet touch-sensitive controls around the frame's edges, an auto-dimming mode to save energy and a 130-degree viewing angle. As well as initiating slideshow playback direct from a USB memory key or a removable memory card, the photo frame is able to play AVI, WMV and MOV video clips. The frame has a built-in speaker for this purpose. A comprehensive list of memory card formats is supported, from Secure Digital and SDHC to xD Picture Card and Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro DUO.

Dell is thinking small with the launch of the Inspiron Zino HD. It's a mini desktop PC that measures just 197x197mm.
The tiny PC has a choice of seven interchangeable coloured lids and three patterned ones. Dell believes customers increasingly want to personalise their home technology and perhaps even choose a colour scheme to match their decor. The Piano Black lid is included in the price, while extra lids are priced at £20 each.

Buffalo has unveiled the BR-X16U2-EU - an external Blu-ray drive.
The black drive, which measures 50x220x160mm, can be attached to a PC via its USB 2.0 connection, which also powers the device. It is capable of writing Blu-ray discs at a speed of 8x, while DVDs and CDs can be written at speeds of 16x and 32x respectively.
