News: HTC forced to swap from AMOLED to SLCD displays
HTC on Monday announced it would use Super LCD (SLCD) display technology from Sony on its latest batch of mobile phones, replacing AMOLED screens supplied by Samsung. The move comes as shortages of HTC devices such as the HTC Desire forced the company to find an alternative to replenish its stocks. HTC announced the decision in a press release published by the website SlashGear.
