News: Adobe & Yahoo team on PDF advertising
PDF files will soon include dynamically-generate adverts, following a deal between Adobe and Yahoo. Until now, publishers have been able to embed only static ads on PDF files, but Yahoo and Adobe are developing a system to make those documents display contextually relevant ads delivered on the fly from Yahoo's inventory at any given time.

Windows users are vulnerable to a QuickTime bug, according to security researchers. The critical bug in Apple QuickTime 7.2 and 7.3 is in the player's handling of the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), an audio/video streaming standard, according to alerts posted by Symantec and the US Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT).

Some Skype customers in a London have been told their telephone number they use for incoming calls will stop working next month. Some numbers starting with '0207', the prefix for central London, will stop working on December 20, Skype wrote in an email to customers.
